Tehran Denies Missile Deliveries to Russia Amid Sanctions

DUBAI – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has firmly denied allegations that Tehran supplied ballistic missiles to Russia, amid escalating tensions and new sanctions imposed by Western powers. Araqchi criticized the U.S. and European countries (E3: Britain, Germany, and France) for what he described as “faulty intelligence” and “flawed logic,” asserting that such sanctions are part of the problem rather than a solution.

The denial comes after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Russia had received Iranian ballistic missiles and might use them in Ukraine soon. Blinken warned that this cooperation between Moscow and Tehran poses a threat to broader European security.

In response, the U.S., along with Germany, Britain, and France, introduced new sanctions targeting Iran, including restrictions on its national airline, Iran Air. The Kremlin has also dismissed reports of missile transfers from Iran to Russia as unfounded, aligning with Tehran’s denial.
