China is all set to be collaborating with Malaysia in order to strengthen cooperation and be able to create more beneficial results in helping the China-Malaysia community with a much brighter future with peace and harmony, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said. Whilst a meeting was held with Malaysian Foreign Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir on Friday, Mr Wang, who is also a part of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China recognises Malaysia as an amiable neighbour and considers it to be prominent for its neighbourhood diplomacy.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the China-Malaysia extensive strategic collaboration, and the two nations will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic friendship in 2024, Mr Wang added. The Chinese side helps Malaysia in its goal of a growth path suited to its national situations and playing a huge part in region related and international problems, he said. Mr Wang relied on the two sides to rise effective communication and cooperation which is required, boost mutual faith for each other , support each other in safeguarding their sole needs and legitimate rights and interests, and collaboratively uphold the ordinary norms ruling international rapports.
Understanding that China is in favor of boosting more Chinese companies to put money and begin businesses in Malaysia to boost more new development areas for cooperation, Mr Wang said China is wanting to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agricultural technology and food safety, along with other fields, and import more quality farm products from Malaysia.
