KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Oct 29 that Ukraine and South Korea will intensify their cooperation to counter North Korea’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. Following a phone call with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Zelensky shared that both countries plan to increase intelligence and expertise exchanges.
Zelensky reported that North Korea has sent 3,000 troops to Russia near Ukraine’s combat zones, with the number expected to grow to 12,000. In response, the two leaders agreed to exchange delegations to coordinate actions and strategies, along with engaging their mutual partners in the cooperation effort.
