Trump Reveals Recent Conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu

WASHINGTON – Former U.S. President Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, disclosed in a recent Fox News interview that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “like two days ago.”

When asked about his last conversation with the Israeli leader, Trump responded, “Like two days ago, and he came to my house in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, with his wife who was lovely.” Their meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, marked the first time the two leaders met since Trump’s presidency ended. The pair also held a meeting in July.

The revelation comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as escalating conflict with the Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah. Trump criticized President Joe Biden for the lack of communication with Netanyahu, calling it “pathetic” that the two leaders had not spoken for nearly two months before their phone call last week.

“I can tell you that Bibi has been very strong,” Trump said, referring to Netanyahu. “He’s not listening to Biden.”

Relations between Biden and Netanyahu have remained strained, particularly over Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza and the conflict with Hezbollah. Israel has stated its military operations will continue until it ensures the safety of Israelis.
