Shandong who is the Chinese aircraft carrier sailed through the Taiwan Strait on Saturday assisted by two ships. Shandong sailed in the north direction around the noon time. Taiwan’s military kept its eyes on the group with the usage of its ships and aircraft and replied accurately. China’s defence ministry stepped back from answering calls seeking comment. Country’s armed forces didn’t try to mention the sailing on their official social media channels. Previous year, Shandong sailed through the Taiwan Strait just a couple of hours before the Chinese and US presidents were about to talk. China has programmed military activities again on a smaller scale around Taiwan after formally killing its war games previous month. Defence ministry of Taiwan on saturday also stated over the previous 24 hours that eight Chinese fighter jets crossed the strait’s median line. Chinese war planes have been doing this on constantly since the war games last August. China has never disclaimed the operation of force to bring Taiwan under its power. The government of Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen firmly debates Beijing’s jurisdiction claims. He believes that people of the Island should have right to decide for their future.
