Shanghai breaks more than century-old heat record in sweltering May

Shanghai ,China is experiencing one of the hottest summers with 36.1 deg C since March has started. Many southern Chinese provinces will be experiencing intense heat over the next few days.  In the area, temperature will climb higher in the coming months. The Meteorological Administration of China has even said that most of southern China will be facing temperatures rise above 35 deg C, with some areas reaching 37 to 39 deg C. Downpour has been consistent in some areas of China since a few weeks. Thousands of people were abandoned in north-east Sichuan. It is done as a precaution due to heavy downpour in the region. For now, adjacent Chongqing municipality notified of a flooding risk on Monday.
