Indonesia and Vietnam Agree to Strengthen Ties to ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’

HANOI – During his two-day visit to Vietnam, Indonesia’s President-elect Prabowo Subianto announced on September 13 that both countries have agreed to elevate their relationship to a “comprehensive strategic partnership.”

Prabowo made the announcement in a meeting with Vietnamese President and party chief To Lam. He praised Vietnam as a longstanding friend and expressed a strong commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 14. He emphasized the importance of tasking teams from both nations to work towards furthering this strategic partnership.
