India hosts G-20 tourism meet in disputed Kashmir under heavy security

SRINAGAR, India – A Group of 20 (G-20) tourism meeting started on Monday. Indian-administered Kashmir, with China and Pakistan decided to hold the event in the disputed territory. Between New Delhi and Islamabad, Muslim – majority Kashmir has been a disputed region. To avoid any chance of a terrorist attack during the G-20 , security has been very strictly available. On the shores of Dal lake, srinagar, a three day gathering is taking place.Electricity poles have been lit in the colour of indan flag to show peace returning back to the region. No Chinese delegates will be coming to the G-20 event.

India and its northern neighbour are locked in a military stand-off along the border of the Ladakh. Beijing claims that the state Arunachal Pradesh in full as part of Tibet, and it considers Kashmir a disputed territory. India holds the G-20 presidency for 2023 and has planned more than 100 meetings across the country. China has already been out of the events happened in both Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
