Vietnam capital dims street lights to save energy during heat wave

There is a sudden demand for power in some parts of Vietnam. The authorities in Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi have decided to keep the street lights turned off to keep the national power system running amid record temperatures which will bring a surge in demand in some parts of the nation. Weather officials reported about the boosting heat in June, many cities have cut back on public lighting after state utility EVN explained the increasing need of air-conditioning could worsen the condition of national grid. Hanoi delayed to turn on its public lighting half an hour later than usual and decided to switch it off half an hour earlier. The system is trying to save energy for people,  for everyone’s well being.
