In Thailand, a woman has been murdered by a man who refused to move out from the house she bought from the bank. He was the former owner of the property. This incident came to notice when owner, Decha Phayakkha, 66, surrendered to local police. When the home buyer arrived shortly before 3pm to talk to Decha about moving out, he refused and allegedly gunned her down while she was on the street outside the house, killing her instantly. Even as the police and a special operations squad surrounded the house and the man’s daughter was called in to help persuade him to surrender, he refused to budge.
The chief of police station Jirawat Piampinset questioned the man to put down his weapon and give it away, but he did not reply. After an hour, Mr Decha fired shots from the house as the special operations police drew closer. He ultimately gave himself up at a point and was glided to Thanyaburi Police Station. Mr Decha was alleged due to murder he committed of trying to murder officers on duty. He would be sent to the same Court where, the police had made a decision of applying to detain him for the first 12-day period of the investigation.
