Russia does not violate UN sanctions against North Korea, says Russian diplomat

Russia is not misusing United Nations sanctions in opposition to North Korea, but is categorically being in opposition to new hindrances related rules on Pyongyang, a high-ranking Russian diplomat revealed to RIA state news agency in remarks printed on Sunday. “Russia, being a responsible member of the world community, stringently adheres to its international obligations towards Pyongyang through the UN Security Council,” Russian Ambassador-at-Large Oleg Burmistrov revealed RIA in an interview.

“Simultaneously, we are categorically in opposition to the welcoming of fresh restrictive rules.” The White House on Friday revealed North Korea just gave Russia a shipment of weapons, naming it a troubling growth and increasing issues about the expanded military rapport between the two nations. North Korean governer Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for a rare summit in September, at which they conversed about military matters, the war in Ukraine and possible Russian help for the secretive state’s satellite programme.

North Korea has been under UN sanctions for its nuclear and ballistic missile programmes since 2006. Those rules have unanimously been polished and given more importance  over the years, but the Security Council is currently  deadlocked as China and Russia urge for them to be eased to appeal Pyongyang to go back to denuclearisation conversations.
