Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that the United States was wading extremely in depth into the Ukraine war and doing a major blunder by giving Kyiv with long-range ATACMS missiles. He conveyed a news conference whilst a visit to China that he had briefed President Xi Jinping “in some detail” about Ukraine.
He said “external reasons” and “common threats” served only to polish Russia-Chinese cooperation. The Kremlin chief said Washington’s decision to supply the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), whose use Kyiv confirmed on Tuesday, “just prolongs the agony” for Ukraine. “Firstly, this obviously leads to harm and triggers an extra threat. Secondly, we will of obviously have the potential to repel these attacks. War is war,” Putin revealed. “But most necessarily, it fundamentally doesn’t have the potential to transform the situation on the line of contact at all … This is one more blunder done by the United States.
” Ukraine had many times questioned Washington for ATACMS to support it to attack and disrupt supply lines, air bases and rail networks in Russian-occupied territory.”A mistake of a larger scale, as yet invisible but still of great importance, is that the United States is becoming more and more personally attracted into this war. And permit no one to say that they have nothing to do with this. We have faith they do,” Putin said.
