TRAT — A private island off the coast of Thailand’s Trat province, Ko Kham, has been listed for sale at a price of 1.8 billion baht (S$70.5 million), an increase of 300 million baht since it was first advertised in 2022. The listing has quickly gained viral attention online.
The post, which appeared in a luxury property group on Facebook, promotes Ko Kham as one of Thailand’s top 10 most beautiful private islands, and the most stunning in Trat province. The price includes a resort currently under construction, allowing the new owner the option to complete it or lease it out as-is.
The island is known for its cleanliness, privacy, crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and unique features such as a sandbar and volcanic rock formations, making it a popular spot frequently reviewed by influencers.
Ko Kham covers about 10 rai (1.6 hectares) and is privately owned. Located around 35km from the mainland at Laem Ngop, Trat, and just 1km west of Ko Mak, the island can be reached by speedboat in 30 to 40 minutes. Its pristine 300-meter white beach is a standout feature, and the island is surrounded by emerald-green waters, earning it the nickname “Emerald of the Trat Sea” among tourists.
The island’s coastline stretches over 300 meters on its eastern and southern sides, with mountainous terrain and cliffs on the remaining sides. Originally listed in 2022 for 1.5 billion baht, the current asking price reflects a 300 million baht increase, underscoring the rising value of luxury real estate in the region.
