Plastic Bottles: Poses serious risk to health and environment.

We all have heard that water is life. Drinking water and staying hydrated is very important for our bodily organs to function properly. Whenever we are out, we usually buy water bottles. These bottles are made of plastic. It takes more than 2 months for the companies to pack water in the plastic bottles by the time it reaches the shops. From studies it has been found that when water is kept in plastic for a long time, the water becomes acidic.

Water is usually neutral or slightly alkaline. But when kept in plastic, it becomes acidic and has serious health effects. From such plastic bottles an industrial chemical called BPA or Bisphenol A is released. After we consume such water, this chemical mixes with hormones present in our body. It can cause obesity, diabetes and even infertility. Sometimes we also forget these bottles in cars and other places. And when it comes in contact with sunlight and get warm, then by these bottles a toxin is released which is called Dioxin.

Because of this toxin, serious diseases like breast cancer can be caused. These water bottles also pose a serious threat to mother nature. According to a report, we use 40 billion plastic bottles EVERY MONTH. Now people might think they don’t have any other solution. All the bottles available in the market are made from plastic. That is true, but one can always carry his own water bottle. This will not only save the environment but also save our health.

Now some might think that carrying a water bottle everywhere is not convenient. But now it is our choice, can we put our health in serious risk because we think carrying a bottle is inconvenient.
