King Charles and Queen Camilla Make Private Wellness Stop in India on Return from Australia

LONDON – King Charles and Queen Camilla recently made a brief private visit to the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre in Bengaluru, India, following their tour of Australia and participation in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Wednesday.

The stopover, reportedly intended to break up their long journey back to the UK, included yoga and meditation sessions at the centre, which specializes in holistic therapies. Charles, 75, a longtime proponent of alternative therapies, has previously visited Soukya and praised its approach to restoring balance of mind, body, and spirit.

“Their majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa,” a palace spokesperson said, confirming that they have since returned to the UK. While Charles’s recent tour marked his first major trip since his cancer diagnosis, a royal source clarified that the wellness stop was not connected to his health treatment, which will continue in the UK.
