US and Singapore ready to cooperate over climate change, global health and the digital economy


Singapore and the United States are ready to discuss climate change, global healthcare needs and digital economy says Ambassador at Large Chan Heng chee. This announcement came at a panel discussion for marking the 55th anniversary of Singapore and Us diplomatic relations.
Professor chan also stated that good bilateral relations between the USA and Singapore are a norm, and Singapore will work well within both republic and democratic administration. And they will l continue to recognise the significance of conducting ties based on non-interference in domestic issues in this age of American foreign policy, a concept that Singapore values.
Furthermore, she stated that they are looking forward to working with the US and deepening their engagement with ASEAN.
The in-charge of US Embassy Rafik Mansour stated that both the countre share a deep bond on economic, people to people ties and security with more than 140 Singaporean companies functioning in USAS and 4500 companies that are based in Singapore.
He furthermore stated that they value generous hospitality, so Singapore will continue contributing to the local communities as colleagues, neighbours and friends.
