Turkey is in discussions with the Palestinian militant group Hamas on the release of foreigners, civilians, and children held hostage by the party, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan revealed on Tuesday. Speaking alongside his Lebanese counterpart in Beirut, Fidan conveyed “several nations” had sent appeals to Turkey to save the release of their citizens held by Hamas. On Monday, Fidan conversed deeply with Hamas governer Ismail Haniyeh to talk in depth about the problem, a foreign ministry source revealed.
