Tulip festival to be organized by Kashmir to promote tourism starting April 3rd


The famous tulip festival of Kashmir will begin April 3rd onwards and will be organized to celebrate the arrival of spring and promote tourism in Kashmir.
The tulip festival is a six-day festival, and the visitors will see cultural activities and get familiarized with the old traditions of Kashmir.
Ideel Saleem, the deputy director of tourism and publicity, stated that they have made all the arrangements necessary for the festival and are eagerly waiting for it to commence. He further stated that the festivals would have musical evenings, and local and national artists will do the performance.
Apart from all this, there will be around 25 stalls that will display the craft, culture, and cuisines of Kashmir. The preparation is happening on such a grand scale that the area news the Sher-i-Kashmir international convention center is getting prepped for sound and lighting system. Not only thus the Hari Parbat Fort is also going to get illuminated.
The officials of the tourism department also said the tulip festival is the perfect opportunity to show the diverse cuisine and the culture of Kashmir, and the tourist will also be able to buy handloom and handicraft products.
As far as promotions are concerned, they have started all across the country so that information can be spread, and they have started campaigns too that are being held at prominent places all around the country. They are also planning another event that will be the houseboat festival going to take place in May.
The deputy director also said that since the houseboat is an icon of tourism and attracts many tourists, this will not only promote tourism but also showcase the houseboats to the world.
