TURNBERRY, SCOTLAND – U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday warned that the United States would launch new attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities if Tehran attempts to restart the operations that were bombed last month.
Speaking alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a meeting at his Turnberry golf resort in western Scotland, Trump said Iran had been sending “nasty signals” and reaffirmed his administration’s hardline stance on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
“We wiped out their nuclear possibilities. They can start again. If they do, we’ll wipe it out faster than you can wave your finger at it,” Trump told reporters.
Iran, which has repeatedly denied pursuing nuclear weapons, maintains that it will not abandon domestic uranium enrichment, despite last month’s strikes on three of its nuclear sites. The renewed threat marks a significant escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran and comes amid broader concerns over stability in the Middle East.
