Three-way meets between USA envoy for North Korea and South Korea

Sung Kim, the newly appointed US envoy for North Korea, will visit his neighboring country for the first time for a three-way meeting between Seoul and Tokyo.
The visit, which runs from Saturday (June 19) through Sunday (June 24), comes after President Joe Biden and South Korean President Moon Jae-in met for the first time in May, reinvigorating attempts to engage the North nuclear-weapons negotiations.
As per the sources, the arrangements for the visit are being made, and the officials of these three nations will discuss the attempt by Biden’s administration to conduct open dialogues with North Korea over denuclearisation.
Sung Kim was appointed as the Korean American diplomat last by Mr. Biden. He had the same role under the administration of President Barack Obama. Mr. Sung Kim has also helped in organizing the summits of Donald Trump with Kim Jong Un (the North Korean leader)
This meeting will have the director-general of the Japanese foreign ministries Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau Takehiro and Noh Kyu- duk, who is the foreign ministry special representative for Korean peninsula peace and security of South Korea.
