In China, a 13 year old girl has wasted 449,500 yuan (S$85,000) which were her parents hard earned money just for playing mobile games. She is addicted to mobile games. She stole her mother’s debit card and spent money without her approval or even her awareness about the activity. Her mother only discovered this after she received a call from her daughter’s teacher. The teacher told her that her daughter has been on her mobile quite a lot. That is when she saw only 0.5 yuan have been left in her bank account which totally came as a shock to her. The video along the news shows how she has been crying and not able to digest that such a little kid could do this to her. Her daughter deleted the history of transaction from her mobile to not get caught. 10 of her classmates forced her to buy games for them too . McGill University has researched about the smartphone addiction issue and has found that China had the most number of smartphone addicted individuals.
