Rania Lampou, is an exceptional Global STEM Educator from Greece. At the Greek Astronomy and Space Company (Annex of Salamis), she is presently a STEM instructor. She is also employed at the Directorate of Educational Technology and Innovation, Greek Ministry of Education.
Unified Brainz celebrated a global magazine’s second anniversary with most distinguished personalities from the globe in its special publication “The Global Icon 2020” which was launched virtually on 30th January 2021. This glorious event witnessed not only great personalities but also leading visionaries from different areas of life.
Her passionate and zealous neuroeducation research and innovative teaching methodologies led her to many recognitions and honours. She has been given the ‘Global Teacher Award 2020’ and also made it to the ‘Global Teacher Prize 2019’ list (Varkey Foundation). The First World STEM Educator Award was also received by her. Almost 70 international awards for her STE(A)M projects have been received by her, some of which were awarded during the current pandemic. Her love for children is extraordinary. Her love for kids and teaching inspires her to keep giving her best. She has also designed 2 courses of astronomy for children. Moreover she has also authored an astronomy book for kids, titled “Planetary interviews”. Her focus on blending science with creativity is revolutionary.
She has achieved a great eminence in STEM education and is also an ICT teacher trainer. She promotes the STEM vision by introducing STEM in physics and astronomy projects and by combining it with Language Teaching. She has revolutionized education by teaching physics from art.
Rania is also the international coordinator and founder of 5 ingenious international projects. The focus of the international projects is on the United Nation Goals described in the 2030 Agenda. Furthermore, Rania is a social activist and global peace ambassador. For many International Organizations, she has been appointed as the International advisor and has received numerous world humanitarian awards and 6 peace awards.
Rania’s passionate activism has been acknowledged across nations. She takes inspiration from her students and children. She finds it amazing that a good teacher can influence the future by helping to restructure the brain of young people. She relishes the challenge of working with kids.
She has to make very complex concepts accessible to children therefore she uses everyday materials such as lego, cardboards, even desserts, to make scientific models.
Her contributions and achievements were recognized by an international magazine. Therefore they titled her as one of “The Global Icon 2020” in their collector’s edition. She is inspiring others with her incredible work. She is an epitome of passion, hard work and success.
