Marathon for a cause becomes a major success

Anti drug campaign is being promoted by DGP Uttarakhand (India), Mr. Ashok Kumar. To support and promote this campaign, digital volunteers of Udham Singh Nagar Police, Anuj Kumar Singh, Pritam and Lalit Mohan Joshi organized a marathon of 11 kms on 26 September, 2021 to increase awareness regarding drugs.
People from all age groups, namely above 10 years and below 40 years of age participated in this marathon. All the participants were duly honoured. The gracious presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Dilip Singh Kunwar, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), US Nagar, Guest of honour, Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, C.O Dineshpur and Vandana Sharma, C.O Pantnagar made the event a success.
It was all possible because of the joint efforts of Voice Asia News and Sankalp Green Help Foundation. All the important facts and figures were presented before the participants regarding the increasing problem of drug addiction. The youth was strongly advised to stay away from any kind of drugs and alcohol.
They were made aware regarding what drugs do to the body and mind. They also encouraged everyone to further spread awareness and make this nation a drug free nation. This event was absolutely successful. More than 250 people participated. It has raised awareness amongst the people. Everyone from organizers to participants deserves appreciation. More events like this need to be organized in future. Joint efforts can save our youth and nation.
