Malaysian businessman pleads not guilty to bribery in exchange for not detaining Muhyiddin’s son

Datuk Roy, a businessman and an officer of MACC (Malaysian Anti – Corruption Commission) were charged for deliberately demanding RM 400,000 bribe in an investigation. The president of the opposition Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), was charged because of the abuse of power and money laundering in March. Son of Muhyiddin, Mr. Fakhri has never been arrested by the anti corruption body. It seems that Hussein is the one behind MACC case.

Another charge faced by Hussein and Rasyidi was of taking RM 240,000 as bribe as a temptation to not retard Mr. Fakhri. Two of them had to face imprisonment for 20 years in the lock up. Rm 10,000 was charged as fine from them. They claimed trial to the charges on thursday. Hussein was given bail of RM15,000 because of his charges and Rasyidi was granted bail at RM10,000. Both of them were also required to give away their passports and also they were supposed to keep reporting at the court on a monthly basis. Now in July, the investigation will restart in the court.
