The rail crash which happened on June 2 is being investigated deeply. The system which regulates the movement of train is being observed. The Commission of Railway Safety (CRS) investigators doubt the bypassing was done by railway workers in order to overcome problems in signalling which occurred from malfunctioning barrier used to stop road traffic at a nearby rail-road intersection. Its the most terrifying accident that took place. At least 288 people lost their lives and around 1000 were injured.
The Indian and International media has a view on this which says that there is a possibility there was a fault in automated signalling system which gave a dreadful birth to this accident. Mr Niranjan Sarangi who is a 66-year-old retired school teacher . He spends many evenings perching near the crossing with acquaintances. He had seen the crash happening. He told the barrier was looking like it was working fine at the time. “The barrier would have problems in working efficiently at times. Members from the department would arrive at the place and repair it,” he said.
