Health advisors: Hosting of Olympics in pandemic can be dangerous


The senior-most medical advisor of Japan has stated that hosting the Olympics amidst the current state of coronavirus in japan is not normal. This is by far the most severe warning given by the doctors in regards to the Olympic games.
They stated that the Olympic games would strain the already strained health care system of japan. Shigeru Omi Addressed the parliamentary committee and requested them to tell the public why they are holding the Olympics despite the fact the people in Japan are against it.
Everyone is concerned about the athletes and the officials who will enter the country for the Olympic games. Omi also stated that if the authorities still plan on going ahead with the games, they should downsize the scale of the event and strengthen the preventive measures that will ensure that each and everyone will stay safe and healthy.
