First Classical Dance workshop successfully held in Rudrapur Uttarakhand

The First Classical Dance workshop was held in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand on 12 January, 2021 with great enthusiasm.  International artist Kumar Sharma arrived at the venue Jaycees Public School, Rudrapur. Everyone gave him a warm welcome. Children were so happy to see him in front of them as they had only seen him performing graceful dance only on digital screens. He apprised children about classical dance and its various types. The workshop was exemplary as it brings the youngsters in touch with our ancient dance style. Everybody got a chance to experience this beautiful dance form. He is also the founder of the style ‘Bollywood Kathak’ and taught children elegant dance moves of bollywood kathak. Children were so excited to learn steps from international kathak fusion. The mere presence of an international kathak dance performer made the whole atmosphere cheerful and vibrant. Upon persistent requests of children, he gave a special performance which was alluring and breathtaking. Children were inspired to learn our ancient dance form. It was all possible because of the Beats N Steps dance studio, Neha Shridhar. It was powered by Manjari Batta and team and without their collective efforts, anything of this could not have been possible. After the workshop got over, the participating students were appreciated and certificates were given to them. All those who helped in successfully organizing this workshop were recognised and honored with momentos.
After the workshop he went to Delhi Public School, Rudrapur which was the supporting partner of the classical dance workshop. Mr Surjit Singh Grover, Pro Vice Chairman, Managing Committee, DPS Rudrapur delightfully welcomed him. Kumar Sharma glanced at the infrastructure of the school and was surprised to see the beautiful campus and prestigious faculty. He was very happy with how progressively the school was giving a platform to children to learn and explore. He was in all praise for the Delhi Public School, Rudrapur and admired the efforts being put by the owners and faculty. He assured that whenever he will get a chance again, he will definitely visit Rudrapur again.
