DPS Rudrapur celebrates Gurpurab with Zeal and Enthusiasm


One of the festivals that is celebrated with extreme love and enthusiasm by everyone worldwide is Gurpurab (Guru Nanak Devji’s birthday)
On the 28th of November,2020 Delhi Public School, Rudrapur celebrated Gurpurab with same level of enthusiasm and love.
The celebrations commenced with an official welcome of the guests as well as Sardar Joginder Singh from the Pateri Farm, Kuldeep Singh, and Sardar Singh Ji, the Sikh Club team members of Jindagi Jindabad.
After the welcome, the students took out the Prabhat Pheri, which showcased and emphasized the importance of Gurpurab and why it is celebrated all over the world. Along with this, the students educated the audience with the teaching and the principles of the Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Then Rasneet Retold the message of ‘One God’ and the ‘Eternal Truth.’
The Budding singers of the school created a serene and calm atmosphere by doing the Shabad Gayan. The highlight of the entire celebration was the presentation of the Gatka done by the students.
The presentation portrayed the essence of the Sikh Religion and presented the glory and divinity of Guru Nanak Devji. Moreover, the students did the bhangra as well as the Gidda performance too.
Once the show was over, the Chairman Shri Surjit Singh Grover appreciated the effort done by the children for putting up such a great celebration. He also gave the message of the universal brotherhood, which was the message delivered by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The program ended on a happy note with a festive spirit, and everyone went back to their homes with loads of positivity.
