Covid-19 positive students take entrance exam in hospital isolation ward in China


The most important aspect of a student’s life is education. Education brings quality and character in an individual’s life. But the pandemic has disrupted education globally. Students are struggling to keep up with their studies as schools and universities have been shut for the time being because of the coronavirus.
In such extreme conditions, Chinese students, who are Covid-19 positive, are taking university entrance exams from isolation wards. Because they are still recovering from Covid-19, they are taking the entrance exams from the isolation ward of the hospital.
HD cameras have been installed by the hospital in the rooms for real time audio and video recording. Test papers were collected and disinfected by the workers in the protective gear at the end of the examination.
China’s most difficult national exam, Gaokao, happened on June 7 and 8, 2021. it sadly coincided with the latest Covid-19 outbreak in the southern city of Guangzhou. More than 10 million candidates across China appeared for the 202 Gaokao.
The dedication of students towards their education is worth praising. The utmost significance given to education in China should be given all over the world. The determination and efforts of the students who in spite of being Covid-19 positive took the entrance exam are exemplary and commendable. The assistance provided by the hospital staff is also praiseworthy.
