China hopes France can help take heat out of relations with EU

China has faith that France can “stabilise the tone” of European Union-China rapports, Vice-Premier He Lifeng conveyed to his French counterpart in Beijing on Saturday, as European rulers discussed how to stabilize “de-risking” and cooperating with the world’s second-hugest economy. He also conveyed to French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire that China is having interest in polishing relationship and enhancing coordination with France in traditional places such as finance as well as in science and technological advancement, as the two sides collaborate for their ninth Economic and Financial Dialogue.

China and France both are rolling the red carpets for the recent trial certification of an Airbus helicopter and aircraft, Mr He said, adding that Beijing will also be in favor of the cooperation of civil aviation departments to re-establish airline connectivity between both nations. Mr He also said China appreciates France’s plan to expand 5G licences in several French cities to Chinese tech giant Huawei. China is France’s third-hugest trade partner behind the EU and the United States, but French companies are becoming immensely tensed that they might fall in trouble after getting discovered in the crossfire of boosting economic conflict between the world’s two economic superpowers.
