China and the European Union (EU) must go on to keep up a broad minded attitude and “refuse protectionism”, Chinese state media conveyed on Monday, recognising Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. State-backed Xinhua quoted Wang as saying that China has constantly standing up for the EU’s strategic independence and European integration and that both sides should go on to keep up an open minded approach, very much support free trade, refuse protectionism, and get the optimistic impacts of China-EU cooperation”.
“China-EU cooperation outweighs disputes and the two sides are partners instead of enemies,” Wang was quoted as saying. Wang’s reviews happens to appear days after the European Commission brought an investigation previous week into whether to enforce punitive tariffs to save EU automakers in opposition to Chinese electric vehicle imports it says are benefiting from excessive state subsidies.
The reviews were created during Wang’s meeting with his Malta counterpart Ian Borg on Saturday, at which China and Malta have made an agreement to deal with it in a collaborative way to encourage China-European Union cooperation, Xinhua conveyed. China hopes Malta would go on to perform an optimistic role in growth of China-EU rapports, Wang conveyed.
