Career opportunities drive young Indonesians to take up Singapore citizenship, work in the Republic

Nearly 4,000 young Indonesians have decided and approached to take Singapore citizenship in the last several years, affected by scholarships proposed by the Singapore Government and also because people find way better career opportunities in the Republic. The brain drain has caused worries to the Indonesian authorities, who are cautious that the loss of talent may bring down hopes of South-east Asia’s top economy evolving as a developed country by 2045.
