Somesh Sharma, a 23-year-old second-year student at Sardar Bhagat Singh Post Graduate College in Rudrapur, India has emerged as a pioneer in eco-friendly paper production. Inspired by a visit to the Century Pulp and Paper Factory in Lalkuan, he embarked on a mission to revolutionize the industry. Son of retired carpenter Ramashankar Sharma, Somesh’s innovative approach has garnered attention for its sustainable impact.

Championing the use of moss, a biodegradable material, Somesh has created paper that not only rivals but exceeds the strength and durability of traditional counterparts, all without the use of harmful chemicals.
