SINGAPORE – Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Ang Mo Kio GRC team celebrated their strong general election win on May 4 with a thank-you tour aboard an open-top bus, drawing waves and cheers from residents.
Joined by fellow MPs Darryl David, Nadia Ahmad Samdin, Jasmin Lau, Victor Lye, and MPs from nearby SMCs, SM Lee expressed heartfelt appreciation to supporters at a community event in Hougang. He pledged to work closely with residents to build a better future for Singapore.
The People’s Action Party (PAP) secured 78.95% of votes in Ang Mo Kio GRC, its best result there since 2006. The newly formed Jalan Kayu SMC was also won by PAP’s Ng Chee Meng in a closely contested race.
