Delta Electronics Brings SEAO Future Industry Summit to Singapore, Expands NUS Partnership

SINGAPORE — Delta Electronics hosted its annual Delta SEAO Future Industry Summit 2026 in Singapore for the first time, bringing together more than 200 government, industry, academic, and media stakeholders to address sustainable digital and energy infrastructure for AI-driven growth across Southeast Asia and Oceania. The event, held under the theme “Advancing Regional Infrastructure for AI and Energy Transformation Evolution,” followed seven previous editions in Thailand.

Delta also formalized an expanded collaboration with the National University of Singapore’s College of Design and Engineering by joining the Sustainable Tropical Data Center Testbed Phase 2.0 Consortium. Under the partnership, Delta will provide an AI containerized data center and related equipment to support research and testing of data-center technologies designed for tropical conditions.

The summit featured executive keynotes and panel discussions on energy readiness for data centers and the role of industrial and building automation in sustainable manufacturing. It comes as Southeast Asian data-center operators report 26–50% year-on-year power-demand growth, according to an IDC study commissioned by Delta, with 60% already deploying, planning, or evaluating direct liquid cooling.

Delta executives said the region’s rapid electrification and AI expansion require reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient power, cooling, automation, and energy-management infrastructure. The company said its initiatives, including microgrid solutions and ESG consulting, support customers’ moves toward net-zero carbon emissions.

NUS professor Lee Poh Seng said the testbed will provide a live environment to validate next-generation technologies under tropical operating conditions, with goals of improving energy efficiency, water efficiency, reliability, and climate resilience. The collaboration aims to accelerate deployment of sustainable AI infrastructure in Singapore and the wider region.
