NEW DELHI — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Australia’s Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong in New Delhi on Tuesday, describing the talks as positive and focused on deepening the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The leaders discussed expanding cooperation across defence, trade, technology and supply-chain resilience, and reaffirmed a shared commitment to a free, open, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific. After the meeting, Mr. Modi posted on X that he was “happy to receive Senator Penny Wong” and emphasised the two countries’ intent to continue working together on regional stability and economic ties.
