World No. 1 Sabalenka Reveals Engagement Before Indian Wells Return

MIAMI — Aryna Sabalenka, the Belarusian world number one, shared news of her engagement to Georgios Frangulis, CEO of health-food chain OakBerry, on Tuesday ahead of her comeback at Indian Wells following an extended break after January’s Australian Open final loss.

The couple, together since 2024, flashed her ring in an Instagram story to 4.7 million followers: “All good guys, everything happened, but look how I look.”

Sabalenka had teased the milestone after her Brisbane International title in January, telling her boyfriend: “Thank you… Hopefully, soon I’ll call you something else, right?” Despite falling to Elena Rybakina in Melbourne’s championship match, she enters Indian Wells with a second-round bye as the ATP 1000 and WTA 1000 events kick off Wednesday.
