New CEO Appointed at Singapore’s Hindu Endowments Board

SINGAPORE – Veteran HR expert Sarojini Padmanathan assumes the role of chief executive at the Hindu Endowments Board (HEB) on December 24, succeeding Jeevaganth Arumugam who led since September 2024. Padmanathan brings over four decades in healthcare, including senior positions at the Ministry of Health and Health Sciences Authority. She spearheaded public hospital restructuring in the 1990s and drove organizational resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A former finance member of HEB, she bolstered financial oversight, governance, and gained deep insights into the board’s four temples, Sri Mariamman, Sri Srinivasa Perumal, Sri Sivan, and Sri Vairavimada Kaliamman, plus its halfway house and community programs.“Her extensive leadership, strong governance background and prior service position her well to lead HEB in managing endowments for community benefit,” the board stated. This appointment strengthens HEB’s mission amid its vital role in Singapore’s Hindu community initiatives.
